Supposed to be easy but doesnt work

Rarely connects to my camera and when it doesnt it requires a series of seemingly inconsistent actions to resolve. I thought updating firmware on my camera might help but only made it worse. I thought updating the app might help but only made it worse. Tough price to pay for convenience
